If you have all of the above documents, you must first find out if you are eligible to claim insurance. In other words, depending on today’s time, insurance has officially made it mandatory for five years. And the first year of this five-year insurance is considered as OD policy or first-party policy and the remaining four years are considered as TP policy or Third-party policy. After the expiration of your first-year policy, you can recreate a one-year first-party policy out of the remaining four-year policy as OD policy.
If your first-year OD policy has expired and you have not renewed the remaining four-year third-party policy to OD policy, you will not be able to make an accident claim.
